About Us

The Grove City Area Federal Credit Union was chartered in April 1950 by a group of volunteers for the employees and family of the Cooper Bessemer Co. It was later changed to serve the entire area surrounding Grove City and has continued to thrive through the efforts of many non-paid volunteers who are dedicated to the Credit Union philosophy of people helping people.

Your savings in the Credit Union, called shares, are federally insured up to $100,000.00 per account by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency. This federal share insurance fund is supported by credit unions and services credit unions only.

Your credit union is a cooperative, owned by its shareholder-members, each of whom is entitled to one vote at the Credit Union Annual Meeting to elect members to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is committed to the Credit Union motto, "Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service".

We are here to help our members achieve a solid and prosperous financial future.
